i love the vocals. put some effects on it :). maybe an automated EQ, reverb, phaser, or chorus. or use changes in panning. i give a 5/5.

it's absolutely bangin

DavidOrr responds:

Thanks for the listen -- glad you enjoyed it!

great track. love how the drums are moving, and all the timbres fit together well. reminds me much of daft punk. it does, however, seem like its playing real far away in a garage too often. a great effect, but the upfront moments could use quite a touch more lows and highs, for the sake of fidelity. really, for the sake of contrasting those banging moments against the more relaxed sections. it is highly cohesive, all the sounds really working in the same space. but, you really may want to bring that guitar out in particular into a higher fidelity. and then make it all bounce.

at 4:45, it's pulled off excellently. that switch from quiet and confined to open and explosive, i would like more.

great song. i would like to hear an enhanced mix.

SourJovis responds:

Thanks. I've got a lot new tools and experience for mixing and mastering these past 4 months. I will do a new mix one day. Probably re-record everything while I'm at it.

fit for a video game. cool to hear all the different generator/effect plugins working together.

welcome back

NeoDeadlyRave responds:

thank you!

shredding

shredding!

cannot give you full feedback cause i am listening on a TV, but, like the other guy says, the compression is definitely aggressive. of course, this is what you want your final waveform to look like for a hard style track. however, you may want to practice achieving high and consistent volume levels in solo tracks or small bus tracks as opposed to what looks like some heavy compression/limiting on the master. you can get a more dynamic/transparent mix with the same loudness level.
otherwise, i would prefer to hear some decisive automation of the volume levels, panning, processing, or timbre. possibly an automation of the amount of sidechain compression triggered by the kick would draw me in and help accent special moments of the track.

JFTmusic responds:

Thank you very much for all the reviews!
I think I got into your points. I wont sacrifice dynamics for loudness anymore. I will start by trying to fix this track.
