cannot give you full feedback cause i am listening on a TV, but, like the other guy says, the compression is definitely aggressive. of course, this is what you want your final waveform to look like for a hard style track. however, you may want to practice achieving high and consistent volume levels in solo tracks or small bus tracks as opposed to what looks like some heavy compression/limiting on the master. you can get a more dynamic/transparent mix with the same loudness level.
otherwise, i would prefer to hear some decisive automation of the volume levels, panning, processing, or timbre. possibly an automation of the amount of sidechain compression triggered by the kick would draw me in and help accent special moments of the track.
Thank you very much for all the reviews!
I think I got into your points. I wont sacrifice dynamics for loudness anymore. I will start by trying to fix this track.
i love it. there's quite a structure here. go in on the mixer.
thanks! i am going to fiddle around with the knobby bits and see if i can get it to not blow the speakers out without a compressor? i always have trouble with these things.
rather incredible how baroque you're sounding while incorporating video game music. you've done a great job. reminds me quite strongly of the Mother series. i'd love to hear a full album from you.
thanks!
great job! i think you could go more ambitious! great job on 1.5k plays.
much appreciated!
now this is something i could listen to. awaiting some full tracks. the panning on the breakdown is brain candy.
Wow thanks a ton! I'm trying to turn both into full tracks, once the inspiration hits
sounding really solid
Thanks!
the main wobble synth has incredible sound design. love how it separates so smoothly. the automations and compression is stellar. the volume changes are rather jarring.
Thank you!
